Storyline / Plot
Hildy Good, as soon as the most prosperous realtor in Wendover, has fallen upon difficult epoch next her divorce and family's insistence she go to rehab for alcoholism. Her former assistant, Wendy, plus stole her clients even though she was in rehab, extra to her problems. Hildy attempts to aid a local associates in the same way as an autistic child sell their home appropriately they can have emotional impact and enroll him in a special bookish by getting her former boyfriend, Frank, to renovate their home. She renews her link taking into account Frank, but the home sale falls through and she finds out her former clients yet another time are stolen by Wendy.
Hildy befriends a woman, Rebecca, who she sold a home to her and her husband and is next drawn into her life. She discovers Rebecca and the local psychologist, Peter, are having an affair, but she promises she won't broadcast their secret. Hildy continues to beverage in solitude otherwise of in the open, justifying her drinking by axiom she just needs to endure the edge off and that she doesn't "need" to drink. Peter approaches her roughly selling his home, but says it's not set in stone and not to speak of it, Hildy assumes this means he will be asking for a divorce. Hildy decides not to beverage anymore after one night when she is cornered in the cellar and drinks two bottles of wine. She avoids alcohol for quite a though and after that finds out that Peter is selling his home and using Wendy then again of her. She confronts him and says he will destroy her career if he gives this sale to Wendy, consequently she threatens him next the information she has virtually him and Rebecca. Hildy is able to sell his home, later uses that sale to snag the large estate the Santorelli brothers built in Wendover. She celebrates similar to them, taking her first sip of alcohol in a though and subsequently can't stop. She drives drunk to Frank's house, telling him they need to celebrate and Frank takes her keys and offers to drive her home. She gets mad and refuses, maxim she'd rather walk.
The next-door day, she is woken by Frank and he shows her the car in her driveway past a damaged tummy end; she had walked urge on to his home after getting the spare key and driven home. The autistic son of her contacts is missing and they bell the worst. Frank hides her car, next leaves to back up in the manner of the search while Hildy goes to the kitchen to receive a drink considering Peter walks in dripping wet. They have a conversation where he says the missing guy is fine, but she needs to acquire control. Suddenly, he disappears and Hildy hears her oldest daughter in the house, in view of that they go to back up gone the search. The police find a body in the water, but it ends up creature Peter, meaning Hildy had hallucinated her chat following him and she collapses, begging for help. Jake, the autistic boy, is found secure by Rebecca and is led home. Hildy willingly goes into rehab this times and accepts that she does have a drinking problem and the movie closes like her and Frank sailing upon the boat he made for her in imitation of they were young.
